Data Controller: Factorise Technologies ApS (trading as Fidnea ApS) is the data controller responsible for the processing of your personal data under this Policy.

Factorise Technologies ApS is the company responsible for the collection, processing, and protection of your personal data when you use the Fidnea app. Fidnea is the product name. Regardless of how the App Store or other platforms display the developer, whether correctly as Factorise Technologies ApS or incorrectly as an individual, all responsibility for your personal data rests with the company, not with any individual employee, founder, or affiliate.

Throughout this Policy, "Fidnea," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Factorise Technologies ApS.

This Privacy & Data Policy explains how Fidnea processes personal data and other information when you use our app, website, or interact with us. It also describes how cookies are used and how you can manage your preferences.

We process your information in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Danish law.

Information We Collect Automatically:

  • Usage data: learning module progress, completed lessons, quiz results, time spent in the app, features used, and interaction patterns
  • Technical information: device type, operating system, browser type, app version, and device identifiers
  • Log data: IP address, access times, pages viewed, and actions taken within the Service
  • Location information: general location derived from your IP address for security purposes (such as detecting unusual login activity) and to improve your experience

Information from Third-Party Sources: We may receive information from trusted security and fraud prevention partners to protect the Service and our users from fraudulent activity, unauthorized access, and security threats.

1A. Legal Basis for Processing

For GDPR legal grounds, we process your personal data based on:

  • Contract performance (Article 6(1)(b)) – To provide Premium Access, account management, process payments, and deliver the learning service
  • Consent (Article 6(1)(a)) – For marketing communications, newsletters, and non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing). You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)) – To analyze usage patterns, improve our Service, ensure security, prevent fraud, and conduct internal analytics. Our legitimate interests do not override your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)) – To retain payment records as required by Danish accounting and tax law, and to comply with legal requests from authorities.

You may withdraw consent or object to processing based on legitimate interests at any time.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and operate the Service – including account management, Premium Access delivery, and responding to your inquiries
  • To improve and develop our Services – analyzing usage patterns, developing new features, and conducting product research
  • To operate the app and website (cookies, analytics, statistics).
  • To communicate with you – including service updates, educational content, and (where you have consented) marketing communications
  • To process payments – handling transactions and maintaining payment records as required by law
  • To ensure security and prevent misuse – protecting against fraud, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Use
  • To comply with legal obligations – fulfilling requirements under Danish law, tax regulations, and GDPR

Aggregated and De-identified Data: We may aggregate or de-identify personal data so that it no longer identifies you individually. We use this anonymized information to analyze Service usage, improve features, conduct research, and develop new educational content.

De-identified information is maintained in anonymized form and we do not attempt to re-identify it, unless required by law.

Email Inquiries: Contact inquiries sent to contact@fidnea.io are deleted 6 months after final reply, unless longer retention is required by law.

Fidnea uses cookies and similar technologies on our website and in our app.

Essential cookies – Always active. Required for the basic operation of the app and website (e.g. login, security, user session). These cookies cannot be disabled as they are necessary for the service to function.

Analytics cookies – Help us improve performance, monitor usage, and enhance the learning experience. These cookies are only activated after you provide consent.

Marketing cookies – Support newsletters, campaigns, and personalized offers. These cookies are only activated after you provide consent.

Fidnea is a trading name of Factorise Technologies ApS (CVR-nr 45424030), which is part of a corporate group. Personal data may be shared within our corporate group for legitimate business purposes in accordance with GDPR.

We may disclose your personal data in the following circumstances:

Service Providers and Processors:
We share data with carefully selected third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service, including providers of hosting, analytics, payment processing, email communications, and security services. These providers process data only according to our instructions and are bound by GDPR-compliant Data Processing Agreements (DPAs).

Legal Obligations and Safety:
We may disclose data to government authorities, law enforcement, or other third parties when:

  • Required by Danish or EU law, court order, or legal process
  • Necessary to protect our rights, property, or safety
  • Necessary to protect the safety or security of our users or the public
  • Required to detect, prevent, or address fraud, security issues, or violations of our Terms of Use

Business Transfers:
If Factorise Technologies ApS (trading as Fidnea) is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or other business transaction, your personal data may be transferred to the acquiring entity as part of that transaction. Your data will remain subject to GDPR protections.

With Your Consent:
We may share data with third parties when you have provided explicit consent for such sharing.

5. Transfers Outside the EU/EEA

We select service providers that commit to appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, including:

  • UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) / UK Addendum to SCCs – for transfers from the UK
  • Swiss-approved transfer mechanisms – for transfers from Switzerland
  • Adequacy decisions – for transfers to countries deemed to provide adequate protection

Our Data Processing Agreements with service providers require them to comply with applicable data protection law and to implement appropriate transfer mechanisms.

6. Data Retention

  • Contact inquiries: deleted 6 months after final reply.
  • Account data: retained while your account is active.
  • Cookie/analytics data: retained according to technical lifetimes.
  • Payment records: retained as required by Danish accounting law.
  • After retention, data is securely deleted or anonymized.

What happens when you delete your account:

  • Your account will be permanently deleted within 30 days
  • All personal data associated with your account will be erased
  • Learning progress and account information will be irreversibly deleted
  • We may retain certain records as required by Danish accounting law (e.g., payment records for tax purposes), which will be kept in a restricted format

Data retained after deletion:

  • Payment transaction records (required by law): 5 years
  • Anonymized usage statistics (no personal identifiers): indefinitely

7. Age Limitation

Fidnea is not intended for individuals under 18.

  • We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 18.
  • If we become aware of such data, it will be deleted immediately.

8. Your Rights

You have the following rights under GDPR in relation to your personal data:

  • Access – request a copy of your personal data and information about how it is processed
  • Rectification – correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Erasure – request deletion of your data or delete your account directly in the app by navigating to Settings > Account > Delete Account.
  • Restriction – limit how we process your data in certain circumstances
  • Data portability – receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format to transfer to another service
  • Withdraw consent – withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing

Rights to object:

  • Object to direct marketing – you can object to receiving marketing communications at any time
  • Object to legitimate interest processing – you can object to processing based on our legitimate interests

We hope that we are able to address any questions or concerns you may have. If you believe we have not processed your personal data in accordance with applicable data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority, including:

9. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or destruction. These measures include encryption, access controls, secure data storage, and regular security assessments.

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and should contact us immediately at contact@fidnea.io if you suspect any unauthorized access to your account.

We are not responsible for circumvention of security measures or unauthorized access resulting from third-party actions beyond our control.

10. Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

  • Significant changes will be notified in the app, on the website, or by email.
